Young Minds Matter (YMM) is delighted to announce the appointment of Nikki Rimmington as Chief Executive Officer.

YMM is a fast-growing, dynamic and forward-thinking charity that supports young people’s mental health by providing 1:1 mentors free-of-charge to schools and by creating young people’s initiatives to make mental health and well-being a positive feature of their educational and life experience.

Nikki has been working with YMM since January 2024 to develop the strategic direction and operational plan and brings extensive experience of strategy, planning, finance and operations gained through her 25-year career of working in industry and consultancy. As CEO, Nikki’s responsibilities will include strategic planning and leadership, oversight of the day-to-day operations and governance.

Founder and Chair of Trustees, Sue Roberts, commented on Nikki’s appointment:

“I have worked with Nikki for a number of years. I know that the passion, knowledge and insight that she brings will be invaluable to Young Minds Matter as we work to expand our reach and amplify our impact to support even more young people in building resilience, self-esteem and focus. The Trustees and I are delighted to have Nikki on board as our CEO and to work with her in what is a hugely important time for us and the young people that we support.”

Nikki commented:

“I am in huge admiration of the vital work that YMM does in making a real difference to the lives of young people facing mental health pressures, and the fantastic progress they have achieved to date. It is clear that there is a massive demand for the support that YMM provides and a significant opportunity to go even further. I am thrilled to be taking on the role of CEO at such a pivotal point and am extremely excited to work even more closely with Sue and the team to take the charity from strength to strength.”
