As a mum to two daughters – now both in secondary school – I am very conscious of the mental health crisis affecting so many of our young people and the importance of equipping them with the skills and resilience to face life’s challenges. Having been a colleague of Sue for a number of years, I have been hugely inspired by what she has achieved with Young Minds Matter, and have seen first-hand the positive impact it has had on so many primary and secondary school children who have benefitted from the mentoring programme, involvement in the fundraising activities and participation in the young ambassadors initiative. I am delighted to join YMM to work with Sue and the team to expand our reach and grow our impact further. I feel that the experience I have gained in my working life across strategy, planning, finance and government relations can help YMM not only maintain its excellent standing in the community but develop it further so that we can enable many more young people to live a purposeful and happy life. In my spare time I enjoy being in the great outdoors (walking, swimming) and travelling. I live in Kenilworth with my husband, daughters and four (!!) cats, two rabbits and a regular stream of guide dogs in training that we foster. Happy chaos!
