I have had the privilege of working with many talented people in my 30+ year career, and it has become increasingly evident that it is more challenging for young people to navigate the world in a way that allows them to fulfil their capabilities and dreams.
It’s an absolute pleasure to join YMM as a Trustee. Supporting young people to develop the tools they need to identify and manage mental health challenges, so that they can maximise their potential, is something that I am very passionate about. As an active Mentor for those at different stages of their career, including those preparing to leave school, I understand the benefits that come with mentoring. The YMM Mentors will be making a massive difference to their Mentees for many years after the mentoring sessions have concluded.
Outside of mentoring, I enjoy all arts and crafts – I’m not good at all of them, but enjoy the process of designing and making something. I also enjoy travel and am an avid reader.
