Danka Chitryn – Supervisor

I am a fully qualified counsellor and supervisor trained in the Person-Centred approach 22 years ago, which offers a firm foundation in relational therapy. In my working practice I have gained various qualifications in my commitment to my CPD and skills which allow me to offer a therapeutic tool kit, offering an integrative approach.

During the last 22 years I have gained experience working in Schools, Hospices, Universities and colleges and in the NHS. This allows me to offer informed knowledge of complex grief, working with trauma and complex relationship difficulties. I am a qualified mindfulness teacher and trainer.

Prior to my counselling qualification I worked in schools as an art teacher for 12 years where I also managed projects involving a range of students working within the arts, engaging gifted and talented students alongside disaffected students. I also developed and devised projects supporting transition from primary to secondary school.

I have delivered supervision training for the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I offer supervision to qualified professionals in several organisations, including Universities, colleges, charities and healthcare organisations.

I offer supervision to students working across various organisations and have delivered training on the level 4 and level 3 Counselling diploma courses and I have a small private practice. I am also an advisor to Tac Access with supports young people therapeutically and one of the therapists on their site.
