‘I have recently retired after 40 years in the automotive industry, starting as an apprentice to leading professional Procurement teams. It has been a privilege during my career to be able to support individuals to develop and grow. There has been no greater reward than seeing them fulfil their potential.
In my earlier years I was fortunate to have two mentors who positively steered me in the right direction, I am really excited, through my role as a Volunteer Mentor with YMM, to be able to continue to pay back the belief they had in me.
The world today is extremely challenging and I aim to provide a safe space, listen, not judge and play a small part in helping the young people I meet to develop the confidence and skills to reach their potential.
I am a passionate football fan and enjoy time travelling with my wife, walking, having fun and enjoying life.’
