For the last 24 years I have been a teacher. I am skilled at working with children and consider it a privilege being part of their journey. The joy of seeing individuals learn and grow is truly rewarding.
Throughout my years of teaching I have seen the positive impact early intervention has on young peoples’ mental health and emotional wellbeing.
To be a YMM mentor is something I am immensely proud of. A person who is trusted to provide a safe, nurturing environment where individuals feel valued and can express themselves freely. Having the skills to be an effective listener and dedicating protected time to support a child can help to build a positive future.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, snuggling up with a good book, going on long walks, or taking a mindful swim. I also love being at the seaside and find sea air good for my soul! These activities help me to promote my own self-care, bringing about a sense of calm and balance.
