Channel Swim 2022
On July 11, 2022, four remarkable young champions successfully conquered the challenge of swimming the English Channel in relay, raising vital funds for Young Minds Matter.
With an impressive average age of only 16, Joe, Eitan, Hayden, and Brian dedicated months to rigorous training, including cold open water lake and sea swims under the guidance of their coach, Angus.
Adhering to Channel Swim Association regulations, the boys completed the swim in speedos and swimming caps, setting the second fastest channel swim relay time since 2015, unintentionally breaking records.
Beyond their athletic achievement, the boys became advocates for mental health awareness, gaining media coverage and raising an incredible £15,000 for Young Minds Matter. This exemplifies extraordinary community support, as Warwickshire locals rallied to support their peers.
A heartfelt thank you to the team, their supportive families, coach Angus, photographers Andrew and Dazma, and Sue, the visionary behind the endeavor. Special gratitude to the 419 supporters who helped us reach the £15,000 goal!
Stay tuned for our next exciting opportunity for young people to make a difference and inspire others!
Our Channel Swim team, were pleased to be finalists of the BBC CWR Make a Difference Awards 2023.
